Dr. Susan Jany

Dr. Susan Jany is a graduate of the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree on the Dean’s Honour List in 1986.  She received her certification in the use of therapeutic drugs in 1994 from Northeastern State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.  She has practiced in Milton since 1987 and is the founder of Milton Family Eye Care.  Dr. Jany is pleased to provide services to her patients in French.

She enjoys all aspects of primary optometric care and has a special interest in contact lens therapy, ocular health management and pre- and post- operative care of patients interested in refractive surgery.  Dr. Jany is a member in good standing of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometrists.  She is a strong supporter of continuing professional  education as a means of keeping up to date with the latest developments in eye care.

Dr. Benu Sabharwal

Dr. Benu Sabharwal has been practicing with Milton Family Eye Care since 2009.  In 2005, Dr. Sabharwal graduated on the Dean’s Honours  List from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.  While in Optometry school, she served as Secretary of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students.  Dr. Sabharwal is happy to serve her patients in Punjabi and Hindi.

She is thankful for her experiences in Villahermosa, Mexico where she volunteered for an eye care mission and she hopes to be able to do such work again in the future.  Working alongside several ophthalmologists at Credit Valley Eyecare in Mississauga gave her the opportunity to further her knowledge of ocular disease.  Her special interests in optometry include ocular disease co-management, contact lenses, and pediatrics.  She is a proud member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometrists.

Dr. Beth Schellenberg

Dr. Beth Schellenberg joined Milton Family Eye Care in 2017.  She graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Science from Saint Mary’s University in Halifax in 2009.  In 2013, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree on the Dean’s Honour List from the School of Optometry, University of Waterloo. 

Dr. Schellenberg completed an internship with Omni Eye Specialists in Baltimore, Maryland where she received extensive training in the treatment and management of ocular disease, with an emphasis on glaucoma, diabetes, and cataracts.  After graduation, she practiced in an independent group practice in Toronto where she enjoyed caring for patients of all ages. Dr. Schellenberg is excited to bring her passion for pediatric vision care, binocular vision, and eye health to Milton Family Eye Care.  She is a proud member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometry.

Dr. Pardie Hamboyan

Dr. Hamboyan graduated on the Dean’s Honour List from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and received the Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy in 2013. She completed internships in Toronto and Oakville, as well as an externship program at the John Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Centre where she received extensive training in ocular disease diagnosis and management, including glaucoma, diabetes and other retinal conditions. Prior to optometry, she earned her Honours Bachelor of Science from McMaster University.

Since 2013, she has been practicing in an independent group practice in Bowmanville caring for patients of all ages. In 2021, she was nominated for the Clarington Readers’ Choice Awards in the category of Optometrist and won Gold. She recently relocated to Halton region and is excited to bring her passion for Optometry to her new community. She enjoys all aspects of primary care optometry including children’s vision care and ocular health management. She is fluent in English, French, Armenian and Arabic.

She is a proud member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometry.
