Specialized Testing: Optomap Digital Imaging and Optical Coherence Tomography
At Milton Family Eye Care, we stay at the forefront of eye care technology to provide our patients with the best possible care.
Optomap Retinal Imaging is a non-invasive tool that captures a wide, detailed view of your retina and other critical eye structures. It aids in the early detection and diagnosis of conditions like retinal tears, detachment, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. Optomap imaging can also reveal signs of systemic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and certain cancers. Ultra-widefield imaging allows us to see both the central and peripheral retina, helping ensure no health concerns are missed.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) uses light waves to create detailed cross-sectional images of your retina and optic nerve, allowing our optometrists to map the layers of the back of the eye, measure thickness, and detect disease early for more effective treatment.
