Dr. Benu Sabharwal has been practicing with Milton Family Eye Care since 2009.  In 2005, Dr. Sabharwal graduated on the Dean’s Honours  List from the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry.  While in Optometry school, she served as Secretary of the Canadian Association of Optometry Students.  Dr. Sabharwal is happy to serve her patients in Punjabi and Hindi.

She is thankful for her experiences in Villahermosa, Mexico where she volunteered for an eye care mission and she hopes to be able to do such work again in the future.  Working alongside several ophthalmologists at Credit Valley Eyecare in Mississauga gave her the opportunity to further her knowledge of ocular disease Her special interests in optometry include ocular disease co-management, contact lenses, and pediatrics.  

She is a longstanding member of the Ontario and Canadian Associations of Optometrists. 

In 2025, Dr. Susan Jany retired after many years of wonderful patient care. At that time Dr. Sabharwal took over the practice with Dr. Beth Schellenberg. She is committed to maintaining the high standards of care that have been provided over the many decades in the heart of Milton. 

Outside the office Dr. Sabharwal stays active with her husband and two teenage children, as well as her beloved doodle, Loki.
