Comprehensive Eye Exams for Adults
A comprehensive eye exam includes a number of tests and procedures to examine and evaluate the quality of your vision and the health of your eyes-and the rest of your body! These tests range from simple ones, like having you read an eye chart. Our doctors test for glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease and many other conditions. We include advanced technology like the Optomap Retinal Exam to give you the highest standard of care.
Comprehensive Eye Exams for Children
Some experts estimate that approximately 5% to 10% of pre-schoolers and 25% of school-aged children have vision problems. According to the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO), all children should have their eyes examined at 6 months of age, at age 3 and again at the start of school. Our doctors have participated in the Eye See… Eye Learn Program designed to ensure all JK-age children have an eye exam and, if necessary, a free first pair of glasses, since the program was introduced in Halton. Children should then continue to have their eyes examined once a year throughout their school years.

Contact Lens Services
Our office provides a variety of contact lenses including frequent replacement, astigmatism-correcting, bifocal, rigid gas permeable and daily disposable lenses. Exciting advances in contact lens research enable more patients to enjoy the benefits of contact lens wear. If you have never worn contact lenses and are interested in having them fitted, your doctor will be pleased to discuss all options. If you wear contact lenses regularly, please wear them on the day of your examination.
Laser Surgery Co-management
Both pre- and post-operative consultations are provided by our doctors. As laser vision correction gains in popularity, the doctors at Milton Family Eye Care will inform and guide you through the relevant information.
